Sept 15, 2002 I asked around for a place to hike around Grande Prairie and was told that there was nothing except this place in the middle of nowhere. The directions specifically mentioned that a 4x4 was necessary to get to the trailhead. Usually this kind of comment is overstated, but not in this case. I have never driven over such a horrible road and was definitely the furthest back country I've ever driven. The power steering gave out on the way in and I had the privilige of driving out without out it. 4x4ing is much harder without the power steering. After I finally made it to the trailhead, I realized I didn't have enough gas to make it back. There was a little hole in the wall gas station I could make it to, but had no idea what hours they kept on a Sunday. I pretty much ran to the falls (thank god they were close), took a couple pictures and started the long drive out. Spectacular waterfalls, though. Here's the pics (Click on the picture to see full size): These are low res pictures. I can send you higher quality pictures if you want them
