Description:
No
trip to Egypt Lake is complete without visiting Whistling Valley - a spectacular
gap nestled between the Pharaoh Peaks and the sheer escarpment of the Great
Divide. The valley, along with Scarab and Mummy Lakes, can be hiked as a day
trip from the Egypt Lake Campground...
June 2004
I assume that these pictures are Whistling Valley because I was unable to go
any further due to the knee deep snow that prevented any further exploration.
The little gopher/raccoon-like animals were pretty brave and very cute.

Scarab and Mummy lakes
Description:
The
side trip to Scarab Lake is a must for anyone hiking to the whistling Valley..
June 2004
Scarab lake itself looks like any other mountain lake but the views were
quite spectacular. I couldn't make it to Mummy Lake due to snow.
